The Metropole Building is a residential and retail development situated in the heart of Glasgow's city centre on the banks of the River Clyde. The nine storey development houses 94 luxury apartments, has extensive underground car parking and offers 20,000ft2 of ground floor commercial space.
The structure comprised the creation of retaining walls to form the basement car parking area, piled foundations, structural steel, rc concrete floors, brick, rainscreen and curtain walling cladding and high quality finishes throughout.
Throughout the Project, our Delivery Teams liaised continuously with statutory authorities to create, and implement, a rigid Traffic Management Plan around the tight, city centre site to ensure that minimum disruption was caused to road users, pedestrians and occupiers of adjacent buildings.
