Client: Rosslyn Chapel Trust
Value: £2.56 Million
CBC were the main contractor on this Contract to restore and repair the historic, world renowned Grade A Listed Chapel and create a new build extension to accommodate additional visitor facilities. The Works to the Chapel itself involved comprehensive stonework cleaning and restoration as well as internal repairs and restoration works.
The Project also involved the construction of a new build extension, of contemporary design, to the existing Visitor Centre. The new Timber Framed structure is predominantly glazed and provides a light, airy space to accommodate additional visitor amenities including a shop, café and permanent installations. This element of the Project also involved the construction of traditional stone walls leading to the new structure to compliment the character and heritage of the original buildings.
For the delivery of the £350K stonework package we utilised our in-house specialist stonework division CBC Stone.
