This Project involved the Restoration and Refurbishment of the Pearce Institute, a Community and Business Resource situated in the Govan area of Glasgow. The facility offers a range of flexible space to host a variety of events and such as community groups and sports clubs, committee meetings, conferences, cultural events, concerts and social occasions.
The Institute also provides office space for local SME’s andoperates a "hot desking" initiative. An accessible community cafe is also provided to service the resident businesses, visitors to the centre and wider community.
Works included the following:
- Replacement of all Slaterwork And Leadwork
- Structural And Rot Repairs
- External Stonework Repair And Restoration
- Stone Cleaning
- Internal Repairs And Restoration
- Replacement Rooflights And Windows
- Installation Of Solar Panels
- Coordination of services.
- The iconic Ship Finial was also restored
The building remained fully operational throughout the works and our Project Delivery Team implemented exhaustive measures to ensure that minimum disruption was caused to building users.
