Paisley Town Hall
Client: Renfrewshire Council
Value: £2.56 Million
As hosts to the prestigious Royal National Mod Festival in October 2013, Renfrewshire Council appointed CBC to refurbish the historic, Grade A Listed, Paisley Town Hall in preparation for the festivities.
The works involved the conservation and repair of the external fabric, including restoration and cleaning of all stonework along with extensive roofworks. Our specialist in-house stonework division CBC Stone delivered the complex stonework package on this Contract.
The Project also saw the remodelling of the existing entrance and foyer to create a new reception area more in keeping with the Victorian Heritage of the building. Improved access for visitors with mobility issues was also incorporated.
All works were carried out while the building remained fully operational and several large scale events took place while the Project was ongoing. Our Site Delivery Team worked with Renfrewshire Council to ensure that these events were executed as planned, with minimum disruption caused.
