Regional Indoor Football Facility, Toryglen – £15M

This Project, for Glasgow City Council, involved the creation of an indoor synthetic full size football pitch within a single storey steel framed structure resting on pre-cast concrete piled foundations with aluminium standing seam roof, Reglit curtain walling, facing brickwork, aluminium cladding panels and external metal doors.   

Outside, the facility offers three further synthetic pitches and one full-size natural pitch, plus goal keeping and warm up areas. All four artificial pitches are FIFA 2 star rated.

Our in-house specialist sports surfaces division CBC Lands delivered all the pitches for Project and all other specialist trades were subcontracted to members of our supply chain.

 In addition to providing a first class community facility for the residents of Glasgow, the centre will also play a prime role in the 2014 Commonwealth Games by acting as a warm up venue for athletes as well as a “staging area” for the closing ceremony at nearby Hampden Park.

 The facility holds the record for the most number of FIFA 2 star pitches, in one location, anywhere in the world.
