Merrylee Primary School, Glasgow – £6.9 Million
This New Build Primary School Campus for client Glasgow City Council comprises 3,443m2 (37,060ft2) of inner floor space with 12 large class rooms positioned off a central wide, light and spacious “street” that stretches the full two storey height of the building.

The campus, which was designed as highly sustainable and achieved a “Very Good” BREEAM Rating, provides the new home for three former Primary Schools in the Southside of Glasgow. Construction comprises driven concrete piles, structural steel and timber frame, insitu concrete floors, curtain walling, rainscreen and “Kalzip” style roof.

In addition to providing traditional educational services, the school building will also act as a community “hub” by offering extensive out-of-hours IT, library and sports facilities to residents in the area.
