CBC began work on the site, a former public car park, at the beginning of January and took delivery of the timber frame at the end of February. The project is scheduled for completion in December of this year.
Speaking about the project, CBC Managing Director James McAlpine said “This is our second sustainable office project to be BREEAM rated, and we’re delighted to be working on this exciting new venture with the National Parks Authority. The progress made on the site to date is astounding, and the erection of the timber frame is a significant milestone for this project. The team have worked extremely hard and it’s great to see the building taking shape.”
Before the site visit, guests attended a sustainability seminar at the National Park Gateway Centre with key players in the project team, including representatives from Page & Park Architects, Happold Engineers and CBC, delivering presentations on their role and sustainable contribution to the project.
