Pupils really dig new school cont'd

The new Primary School, which is scheduled for completion in Autumn 2008, has been designed as highly sustainable and is currently on target to receive a “Very Good” BREEAM Rating.  The building boasts many sustainable features including a timber frame and 10% of the materials used in the construction process will be recycled.
Speaking about the project, CBC Managing Director James McAlpine said This is a very exciting project to create a building which not only compliments the architecture of the area, but is also highly sustainable and demonstrates environmental responsibility. This is our fifth project to be BREEAM rated and we are delighted that the building is on course to receive a “Very Good” classification. The school will be a valuable addition to the area by providing facilities, not just for use by the pupils who attend the school, but also for the wider community and I am looking forward to seeing the building develop over the coming months.
